STEAM Magnet Introduction

Van Nuys Middle School is a small school in a quiet Sherman Oaks neighborhood. The STEAM Magnet program has about 229 students with a 27:1, or less, student-teacher ratio. Our program is a small learning community and has a long tradition of academic excellence while maintaining a nurturing supportive environment. We are whole-child focused where social and emotional growth is as important as academic success. We achieve this by creating a sense of community through supportive teachers and faculty, involved parents, professional partnerships, and enriching extracurricular activities and field trips.
