Sixth Grade Academy students take special electives – environmental studies and yoga. Environmental studies focuses on research and presentation skills while promoting awareness of environmental issues locally, nationally and globally. Our innovative yoga course provides students with the tools to maintain a healthy school/life balance.
VEA students in 7th and 8th grades have the opportunity to choose from a variety of electives. Our outstanding arts electives include band, orchestra and theater. Students also may choose Maker Space, which focuses on design and engineering.
VEA students also may take an AVID course. AVID explicitly teaches skills that will help students continue their academic achievement through high school to college and beyond.
